About Spurge Foundation

At Spurge Foundation, we believe that every child is unique and deserves to be treated with love, respect, and dignity. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and grow into their full potential.

Spurge foundation as a home for children with no living parents or no loving parents. Our foundation have and do care for parentless children but they also care for children with living parents, just like the foster care program.

So are the children in the homes we support orphans or not? Good question. Some have one or both parents, some have neither. Unfortunately, some parents don’t provide their children with the care they need to become healthy functioning adults.

Here are some reasons why children end up in our foundation:

They have no living parents.
They were not receiving proper care from their parents.
They were victims of physical or emotional abuse.
Their parents gave them up because they didn’t feel capable of caring for their child.
Their parents were incarcerated.

Parents or no parents, the needs of every child are the same. When a child doesn’t have a good place to live, we provides that child with a safer home until a better home can be found.

We welcome those who would like to join our mission of providing better futures to the less fortunate.

We follow jainism

Although our children come from many different castes and backgrounds, they are united here through the peaceful path of Jainism. Every day, they sit together for Samayik, learning the values and teachings of Jain philosophy with sincerity and devotion. At times, they also participate in Puja and Besna, embracing the rituals with pure hearts.

What touches us most is how naturally they practice Jivdaya, the compassion taught by Bhagvan Mahavir. Each day, with love and care, they feed cows, dogs, birds, and even ants—carrying kindness into every small action. Sometimes, they even help give freedom to birds kept in cages or release fish from small containers back into the river, allowing these living beings to return to their natural homes.

In their simple, gentle ways, these children are living examples of how compassion can become a beautiful lifestyle.
